Claudia Magistro is a master’s student in Space and Astronautical Engineering at La Sapienza University in Rome, with a strong passion for space exploration and technology. With a background in Mechanical Engineering,during her master she has participated in university projects on space mission design, including a lunar navigation satellite constellation and Earth observation missions. Claudia has gained valuable experience through the ESA Academy Navigation Training Course and the Concurrent Engineering Facility (CEF) at the Italian Space Agency (ASI). She has been a member of SEDS Italy since february 2022 and organized events, such as the SEDS Italy Space Conference. As President of SEDS Italy, she helps promote space exploration among students. Her international experiences, including time spent in the UK, have shaped her global outlook, fostering strong intercultural and leadership skills. Driven by curiosity, she is committed to advancing satellite navigation and contributing to the future of space exploration.

President
Luca Boschi is a 25-year-old master student of International Relations at the Sapienza University of Rome. He is currently working on his thesis on Space Law, titled “European Space Law: further regulation of the European space sector”, where he analyses the proposal of the European Commission on a new legal framework for space activities, as well as the relationship between the EU Commission, ESA and EUSPA.
During the past summer, he had the possibility of enhancing his expertise in the space sector by participating to a two-week summer course organized by ESA and ECSL on Space Law and Policies, hosted by the Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Currently, Luca is undertaking a traineeship at the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) in Prague, working at the Office of the Executive Director, under the guidance of the head of the Department Christina Giannopapa.
General Secretary
Matteo Bonissi is an Italian Entrepreneur and Project Manager. He is graduated in Business Economics at the University of Western Piedmont (UniUpo) with a thesis in Space Economics, and is enrolled in a Master’s Degree at the University of Messina (UNIME) in Airline Management and Regulation of the Aviation Industry.
His first experiences in event planning were during his term as Head of the Culture and Arts Commission in the Milan Province Student Council with his two years term in 2017-2019.
He has gained experience in the communications field by being a Project Manager and Consultant in various entities, and has been collaborating with his university’s association SEDS-UPO (Student for the Exploration and Development of Space - Università del Piemonte Orientale), part of the SEDS environment, from 2022 to 2024 up until his graduation.
He has been involved in managing multiple events, including some in the aerospace sector.
Matteo is also a book writer and movie producer-director-screenwriter and with his experience in the Entertainment field he aims at helping the SEDS team to reach to the stars.
Head of Events Development
and Management
Giuseppe Piras is a master student in Aerospace Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin. He completed his bachelor degree in the same university, where he also had the opportunity to be part of AESA Torino (Aeronautics&Space Engineering Students’ Association), which is also part of SEDS Italy network, for many years both as an active member and as part of the Board of Directors in the role of Treasurer and President. In these roles he gained experience in managing an association, the organization of events and tours inside key companies of the italian aerospace industry, but most importantly on how to work with people from different backgrounds.
His main interests in the space industry are mission design and orbital mechanics. He also had the opportunity to work with children of different ages, both by himself and in collaboration with ESA, to foster interest in space and science, with fun experiments or the introduction of more advanced concepts depending on the age.
Federal Coordinator
Mauro Vigilante is a master’ students in Economics and Management in Innovation and Technology at Bocconi University. He is a dynamic and versatile guy. He likes challenges and he thinks it is essential to try to think outside the box, not dwell on the surface, but always deepen your knowledge and solve problems efficiently. He started his adventure in SEDS Italy almost 3 years ago and his passion for Space has been growing since then. He started with the role of Delegation Support Manager supporting local associations in their daily activities and searching for new people to enrich and enlarge SEDS’ network by founding new delegations all around Italy. In the meanwhile, he also established an association at Bocconi University focusing its activities on spreading the awareness about the role of corporate ESG practices and its social impact. Thanks to his past experiences he was able to develop leadership, problem solving and communication skills and he will apply them as Board Member of this association.
Treasurer
Matteo Faieta is a Bachelor’ student in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and a student representative of his course. He has always had a deep love for the world of technology, innovation, and progress, particularly in the realm of startups and venture capitals.
His experience in SEDS Italy began more than a year and a half ago, as a member of the Projects Department, and after 4 months, he became the Head of the Department, a position he still holds today. He is also no stranger to being involved in associations within his university, as he has been a member of Polispace, the space enthusiasts' association at Politecnico di Milano, for a year now.
His passion for space has been with him since he was a child and, more generally, for all those things that humanity has not yet fully understood.

Giuliano Pezzimenti is a third-year Law student in Luiss Guido Carli. In Luiss, he is Vice President of SEDS Guido Carli, as well as President of All Around Association, Legal Consultant in JELU Consulting, External Advisor in Starting Finance Club Guido Carli, while, outside university, he is member of ELSA Rome and also President of AISES Young. In November 2023, at the beginning of his second year, he was elected Students’ Representative of the department. He is keen to share knowledge about space law among his colleagues!
Legal Department Advisor
Luna Rita Veraldi is a fourth-year Law student in Luiss Guido Carli. She is the Managing Director of All Around Association and the President of SEDS Guido Carli. She’s been director of the Wonder Magazine journal and of the Drafting Experience project, as well. She’s always been keen on organising and managing events in the cultural and political field. She is also the Leader of the Law Society of the Roman residence of the College of Merit Don Nicola Mazza. She is looking forward to bring her contribution to the SEDS Italy Executive Board with her managing and organising skills!
HR Department Advisor
Marida Famiglietti is a second-year law student at LUISS Guido Carli. She is the Director of the student newspaper Wonder Magazine and Vice-Director of the Drafting Experience project; she’s also been the Head of the Culture Department of the All Around Association. She is the Vice-President of the Southern Culture Institute and President of the Youth Health Campus. Marida is looking forward to contributing to SEDS Italy!

Marta Stella is a student at Bocconi University, where she is pursuing a BSc in Economics and Management.
Drawn by a strong curiosity for the unknown, she joined SEDS, intrigued by the diverse backgrounds of its members, yet united by a shared passion for space exploration.
SEDS offers a unique, dynamic environment that contrasts with the more focused and specialized atmosphere of her university, providing the opportunity to engage with a wide range of perspectives, stories, and skills.
